Belly dance is the Western nickname for Raqs Sharqi, "Dance of the Orient", the captivating classical dance of the Middle East. Belly dance is now increasingly popular around the world as a great low impact form of exercise suitable for women of all ages, shapes and sizes.
Belly dance increases fitness, boosts self-confidence and improves muscle tone, posture and flexibility - all while you learn great dance moves and shimmy around in a hip scarf!

Helena is a popular and well-established teacher and performer of belly dance. Her fun, friendly and supportive teaching style has earned her a loyal following of students. Helena is based in Leeds and all her classes are located for easy access from Leeds city centre.
Helena has full public liability insurance and a PPL licence. She has been awarded a Safety certificate by the Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance and continues to study with top national and international teachers and travel to the Middle East.
