Egyptian belly dance talk and taster
In a belly dance talk and taster you can try out Egyptian belly dance and learn more about its fascinating history!
Perfect for women's groups such as the Women's Institute or Girl Guides, or for school and community events.
We were ALL so impressed with your presentation – excellent – and skill/fitness – wow! You are most talented ...I want to say a very warm THANK YOU very much for giving us such an interesting and enjoyable evening.ÂLavina von Kesmark, Nun Monkton Yorkshire Country Women's Association
Start with a fascinating talk on "Bellydance: The Dance of the Seven Myths", covering the history and background of belly dance, with costuming, props and art to look at. Or you can personalise the talk to suit your group, with topics such as belly dance and feminism, belly dance costuming and belly dance in art to choose from.
Then sit back to enjoy a short demo from Helena before kicking off your shoes to shimmy and undulate your way through the basics of belly dance!
Talk and taster sessions can be tailored to your group, so that you can either select a short talk with longer taster, or a longer talk with short taster. Either way the full session generally lasts around an hour and a half. Talks and tasters are also available separately. Projector ideally needed, but not essential.
