Belly dance hen party classes/workshops in Leeds
The perfect start to your hen night - kick off those heels, put on a hip scarf and learn some fabulous dance moves! Belly dance is a low impact dance so it's suitable for women of all ages, shapes and sizes (and you won't get hot and sweaty before your big night out!).
An ultra-feminine, sexy yet classy style, it's ideal for those who are intimidated by the thought of pole dance or burlesque, but want to try an empowering, sensual dance.
Start by digging into Helena's dress-up box for hip scarves, veils and more! Then shimmy and undulate your way through the basics of this beautiful dance - Helena breaks down the moves with simple explanations so everyone can have a go.
Finish your workshop by putting together the moves you have learned into a mini routine - a dynamic veil entrance into cheeky drum solo - to perform together at the end of the workshop. Make sure you bring your cameras!
NEW: Don't fancy a night on the town wearing L plates? Helena has now paired up with the wonderful Koukab al-Joufi for a dinner party with a difference! Koukab will show you and your friends how to cook delicious Middle Eastern cusine, then while the food is bubbling on the stove, slip off your shoes and learn traditional belly dance steps. Workshops are usually held at Helena's own studio, Arch Dance Studio, which is centrally located in Leeds with easy access to public transport and parking.
Helena has hip scarves and veils for up to around 15-20 participants and a dress up box with harem pants, skirts and tops for those who like to dress up! Helena can also come to you if you have booked your own venue - travel expenses may apply.
The class generally lasts for one hour and 30 mins.

Helena is an experienced teacher and member of Equity. In addition to her popular hen party workshops she runs classes in Leeds and Morley and performs professionally. Helena has a PPL (licence to play recorded music) and full public liability insurance.
